Fashion Designer Patricia Santos always knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. As a teenager, she liked mixing and matching her and her sister's clothes, making costumes for school plays, and experimenting with makeup. She has always been organized, meticulous, and someone who values her time, qualities which benefitted her in school and continues to benefit her in her career. After graduating high school, she attended La Salle College International where she majored in Fashion Design. As a student, Patricia was praised for her craftsmanship and discipline. Her interest in makeup also grew during that time. This made her decide to take a leave from school and work as a makeup artist for Make Up For Ever Manila, where she was trained by experts in the industry and worked with people in the fashion industry and in show business. She graduated college in 2010. A year after her graduation, Patricia auditioned for "Generation MEGA, the MEGA Young Designers Competition 2011", a fashion reality TV show, and was chosen among hundreds of aspiring designers. She landed a spot in the top 8 finalists and was given an opportunity to showcase her designs in a gala held at Republiq. The judges that night were Jenni Epperson, Tim Yap, Tessa Prieto Valdes, Raya Manaquil, Cristalle Belo, Avel Bacudio, and Sari Yap. The gala was attended by major personalities in the fashion industry and in show business. In 2012, Patricia opened her fashion studio located in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and launched her wedding fashion line. She launched her formal menswear line and ready-to-wear line, TopShelf Apparel Philippines, in 2013.
