African Inspired Fashion & Lifestyle 'Maisha’, meaning 'Life' in Swahili, is an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand which uses African and Indian fabrics as a trademark to all its designs. The 'Maisha' concept is contemporary and fun, something that is prominent but is yet affordable. Both Africa and India are known for their bright colours, rich culture and warm people. I hope to bring awareness through my designs about a part of the world where I come from, which is untouched by most, where over 50% of the population live below the poverty line, but is nonetheless bursting with raw talent that should be recognised. Maisha aims to create a better 'life' for some of the less fortunate and I hope to create awareness of their 'life' and culture through my brand.
