A new survey has found that Google's logo is pervading the lives of British people, with 47 per cent admitting that Google is their homepage or the first page they view once online.
Those surveyed were asked "which logo do you see the most during an average day?" with 34 per cent of respondents saying that the Google logo was the most prominent.

15 per cent of those surveyed said the Microsoft logo was the most seen logo, with Facebook on 11 per cent and Apple on 9 per cent.
Other findings from the survey include the revelation that 53 per cent of people use Google as a spell checker. 52 per cent said they searched for something using Google between 10 and 20 times a day.

A quarter of respondents also said that they had installed a Google search bar into their browser.
