LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Global Village Concerns (GVC), a start-up, branding and marketing services company founded in response to budget cuts impacting schools nationwide, has partnered with Lake Mary High School in Lake Mary, Fla., to create a new school image, as a result of a recent cease and desist letter from Chrysler asking them to replace their school's logo, which closely resembled the Dodge Ram logo.

"We heard about their situation through a series of news reports and knew that we were in a position to help them create a new identity, while helping them raise the money they need to potentially replace some of the larger, costlier logos," said George Hampton, president and chief executive officer of Global Village Concerns.

At no cost to Lake Mary High School, Global Village Concerns created a new Ram logo and helped the school develop an e-commerce, fundraising platform to raise the additional $100,000 needed to replace the larger, costlier logos, including the gymnasium floor and wrestling mats.

"At a very difficult time for our school, Global Village Concerns was a great partner. They helped us renew our student's identities as Lake Mary High School Rams, while also giving the students a way to raise enough money to replace the remaining logos," said Michael Kotkin, principal of Lake Mary High School.

The new logo and design was unveiled during the school's annual Red/Gray Classic football game on Friday.
